Once upon a time
People were sharing and caring.
Neighbors helping neighbors
Through thick and thin.
Their word was their bond,
A handshake sealed the deal.
Now no more,
In these turbulent times,
You must get everything in
Black and White
I think that people did trust one another more, in the past.
So true, Hank. I grew up in a small town where nobody ever locked their doors. Contracts were spoken. No need for pen and paper.
A wonderful and perceptive write. So very true. Modern technology took away this bond. Well thought and conveyed.

I think that people did trust one another more, in the past. Now a written contract is needed, which is fair enough in some cases.
