A Special Moment Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

A Special Moment

Last night I watched
History unfold

Hillary Rodham Clinton

Becoming,
The Democratic nominee
For our Nation's highest office

Another 'First'
Following in the footsteps
Of 'Obama'

Hillary, a game-changer
Or will it be just
'Status Quo'

Last night I watched the Democratic convention. Hillary and her husband Bill part of the Baby boomer generation (persons born between 1946 and 1964) . Last night, I listened to President Clinton and I was moved when he recognized his own mortality saying, 'We have more yesterdays than tomorrows'. written 7am,27 July 2016.

I would like to see another woman, Jill Stein, hold that office. But as my friend Akhtar said, anyone would be better than Trump

Good morning Kelly, I see that the Green Party convention is being held in Houston, TX,4 thru 7 August. She will probably be the party nominee. More than qualified! ! I see she is on the ballot in only 25 states. She is not on the Utah ballot yet. Perhaps a write-in.

Let us hope the best, but in any case Hillary will be better than her rival for the world.
