A Trip To Heaven - Poem by Mugdha Khedkar

'There exists no heaven, '
Say some.
And are stunned when I reply,
'I have visited one.'

It was magnificent
It was one of a kind
To describe its beauty
No words I can find

It had a beautiful display,
Of the nature we miss in cities.
It was clean and pleasant,
It was the real home of peace.

It was situated on mountains,
The waterfalls looked a paradise.
All was green, it was perfect,
Huge mountains sat bathed in ice.

We were blessed to witness,
The rise of the glorious sun,
Its peep from behind the mountains
Looked like magic being done.

The chattering of the river,
In the silent background,
Reassured us that it was,
A real heaven we had found.

The place filled us with joy
Till tears filled our eyes
We knew what we would miss thereafter
It was this heaven beneath the skies.

Vision do come to us mortals. But, I'm sure the real heaven will go beyond words. (Report) Reply
