A Truthful War? Poem by Richard Wlodarski

A Truthful War?

A Truthful War?

They are...
Blacksmiths wordsmiths hypnotists
Mayors senators dictators
Terrorists humorists hypocrites
Lovers haters sinners

They are your flesh and blood
Humanity in the flood
You flush them out with your blood
Thinking that they are mere crud

You lie cry and try
Only to say bye
You've killed your own brethren
They were once One God's children

You wage what you call a truthful war
And we've seen one too many before
So you'll kill these innocents
And make up for it in penance

You are truly one with God's children
But you can't live with your own brethren
So you'll die alone and go to Hell or Heaven
And if you are fortunate you shall see His children
