A Wasted Rainy Night Poem by Akhtar Jawad

A Wasted Rainy Night

Rating: 5.0

The rainy season is about to go,
I had written a message on the clouds,
I spread alcoholic beverage on the clouds,
The wind carried the clouds long ago.

The whole of night the alcoholic rains,
Made the buds excited and drunk,
I see green dresses on the trunk,
The trees aren’t shy of rainbow stains.

I missed her in the dreams of night,
The unread message was read by few,
The stars’ tears were frozen as dew,
The moon is shining and it’s bright.

Clouds have gone and the sun is peeping,
The smile of dawn at the eastern skies,
Was blended slowly with tears and cries,
Buds turned into flowers are now sleeping!

You're away, could come in the dreams,
Winds and clouds don't charge for the flight,
Or it's the weakness of my insight,
Perhaps missed you in the sleepy streams!

Oh my gosh! this is so full of amazing description, it's like a walk through a wet forest taking in all it has to offer and enjoying the beauty and the energy of natures bliss. I'm taken in by you ability to form such beautiful poetry enticing the reader to come in and sip the beauty and after sipping take a long drink and enjoy. You touch the soul with your words and sooth the heart, I love your work so beautiful and tranquility unfolds here...Thank you brother poet.....

'Absence makes the heart grow fonder'! I feel that this temporary absence is in a way good! How many poems you could write on almost the same topic, Akhtar ji!
