A Young Nation Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Young Nation

Rating: 5.0

Why not? we are happy nation
Stable and young without any doubt or question
Harmony and peace in every relation
I have every reason to feel satisfied with elation

I feel part and parcel of one package
We are capable and able to manage
All our internal and external affairs
No to cause concern in any matters

What a tradition to offer and follow?
No deviation or drift to allow
World as one family to profess and practice
How do we stand for it and feel very nice?

We have every reason to feel its pulse
Every negative ideas we repulse
Not to indulge in intimidation and threat
Always warmth in relation when we embrace and greet

We stand on our own feet
Not to beg and not to let
Offer a hand of friendship as point of strength
Love to live in peace with same wave length

We as nation may not budge
From our stated position with any grudge
We have no intention to indulge
But to cement the bond and gulf the bridge

What else do we stand for and live?
What have we to show and leave?
Not to cause concern and relieve
Peace and harmony always believe

I raise my head with pride and faith
It won’t be changed till the death
I have every reason to feel great
The goal an d aim is already set

Why I worry for what to offer?
We are one and never differ
Why I worry for what country could not do?
What I could not do is equally true
