Advantage Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Advantage

An advantage is at hand.
For all to grasp the purpose of it.
And not dismiss.
Truth and its reality.
Has begun to descend,
Upon us.
To no longer delude,
Its openness.

Division to endorse,
With an unconsciousness enforced.
Supports conflicts and more of this.
To benefit only,
Those wealthy and rich.
Using racism, religion and politics.
Tossed with a mix of evilness.
A familiar weapon used to inflict.

An advantage is at hand.
To see things as they are.
None of this is a mystery.
Or from anyone too far,
With it kept to keep unnoticed.
Who or what they choose to use,
Just to abuse minds left unfocused.

There is an advantaged,
To remaining awake and curious.
And why it is certain people,
Depend upon deception.
Lies told to tell to sell.
With attempts to evade,
Their lives to live corrupted.
While continuing to persuade,
Themselves to be wholesome.
Staged to masquerade...
A betrayal of misdeeds.
Legalizing theft.
Decadence.
And more of it to greed.
