After The Sunrise Poem by Soumili Karmakar

After The Sunrise

The windmill revolving at the edge of the farm
To console reapings that were bound to follow for penury to diminish and endless lives to calm.
'I pray, delay the forthcoming, or rewrite our fates by letting us adore the farm ', the grains pleaded in their hearts, but none heard them as the night passed.
Without any hopes of a merciful tommorow,
But with the rays of the sun, they surrendered their all
For happiness and smiles to come.
The sun shone brightly on that day for congratulating the harvest,
The tears of grains in mist stayed long till farmers carried new wholesome seeds of roses
Which will lead the comings of bees
In rows to deliver the honey to their hives asked to borrow after the Sunrise.

The windmill at far, witnessing every year's new comers,
In solitude he prayed, ' Let those unheard wishes be glorified by listening ears, who haven't heard a word or two from their tribe, as the former being exiled'
His age old acquaintance were cut by the hands of the trimmers,
The ones that sheltered, the ones that came early in the morning
To see if his yard enjoyed the sunlight while awakening
Sometimes playing in muds when flowers were in buds,
He saw them growing.

Who shall speak about the pitiful hearts that wept?
Who shall improvise with stormy winds?
Who shall prevent torments for the better and for the best?
Who shall share some of their grief and welcome a path where all shall breath beside the crest?
Shall we know, how we loved blissful winds forgetting the rest?

Courage makes one to stand on their knees,
Dreadful nights didn't count, if stars were there to adore some lees.
The blade with its sharp edges didn't make one fear,
Grains loving the west winds talked about their dear.
Heavens have heard what was there living in the yards,
The beating hearts and streaming tears falling as snows in winters letting our sky to clear.
