The confusion sets in.
It's over again.
Another time undone,
But not forgotten.
Could it have all been a dream?
Like most memories seem.
Or as real as yesterday?
When it all slips away.
Parting words never spoken
Leaving promises unbroken,
But the knowledge is known
Once again you're alone.
