My Beloved Cocktail Poem by Dans Only

My Beloved Cocktail

Rating: 5.0

Mix equally
In a chilled stainless steel shaker.
One part Love,
To be sweet at first taste.
One part Hate,
For the 'burn' as it goes down.
And one part Fear,
To make your belly roil in doubt.
Shake vigorously,
For as long as you can hold your breath.
Pour into a tumbler,
Whose rim's lined with hope.
Add a twist of bitterness.
And garnish with despair.
Can be served on the rocks,
Or straight up.
Depending on your mood.
