Ageing Poet Approaching Fast
Ageing poet, approaching very fast
Ageing poet
Approaching very fast
Towards destination
With faithful service to nation
India saw final victory
We found run by enemy
Total surrender to mighty forces
We cracked and destroyed their sources
So was the start of carrier
It was victory over enemy
We knocked them out forever
Bangladesh became reality on our border
So much of joy was experienced
The enemy was distanced
India saw another shining day
With dark clouds sent away
I close eyes
And try
To recollect
Young airman's act

Mohan Patnaik It seems the ageing poet in his young days was in the army and bravely took part in the war against Pakisthan for the liberation of modern Bangladesh. He is old now and in preparation of his final journey (destination) . He is not at all shaken. He stays calm and recaptures his fighting spirit as an answer to the call of Destiny.
