Agendas Advocated Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Agendas Advocated

Agendas advocated,
Takes a fortune donated...
By those expecting their interests,
Implemented and not debated.
And those with no bucks,
Will always be heard...
Fussing in discussions left disgusted.
To wonder why their voices raised,
Can not pay for what it takes...
For them with wishes to believe,
A doing of this will get them more...
Than being ignored on a daily basis.

The ones who bring 'something' of benefit,
To a table others are invited to sit.
Are the first to get the menu.

Those who complain,
With nothing to offer but that.
May get what's left over.
Then refuse to wash the dishes.
Claiming to do this,
Is beneath their expectations.
And much below,
Dreams to wish without effort endeavored!
