Alice Fell Off The Edge Of The World

Alice fell off the edge of the world
Tea cup swirled
Still herself
But off the shelf
Into the world within the world
Who would believe her
When she returned
It's just a dream
Or so it seemed
How glad she was
To be back again
There on the riverbank
Where it began
Still in the afternoon
Just herself
Despite all the strangeness
That she was dealt
Sometimes a journey is far too far
You have to come back
To know who you are.
