Altair Poem by Luz EtchemendiGaray

Altair

I wanted to stay to watch the sea birds
take flight,
wait for sundown;
to scan the horizon
and observe the birth of Altair,
my star.

To listen to the silence
and ask to the moon,
the full moon,
that she reflects our love in the sea,
her trail of silver,
on which we shall walk together,
following the Fisherman of souls,
the two of us upon the waters...
