I'm so screwed
Why can't you
Just leave me
Damn alone?
'cause you're friend
You see light
Within me
Past darkness
Because you're friend
You hear words
Not yet spoken
Perhaps, deadened
Because you're friend
You speak softly
Yet, so profoundly
Emphatically
Because you're friend
You understand
My lasting pain
Life without gain
