Always, Love Mum
You stand a man
Always my boy
I often forget
My need is of no more
So now as I gently pull away
My heart is your home
Forever will stay
I watch from afar
With pride you see
You can live life
Carefree without me
I feel now my work here is done
From me to you
Always, love Mum
I'm a dad; but all my kids are now, too, adults. And just feel the bitter-sweetness of your words.
