An Elegy As I Call It Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

An Elegy As I Call It

Rating: 5.0

Oh, how sorrowful it feels
Whenever I hear of someone's demise
Tears welled up and I try to hold
But eyes, innocent eyes how could
They being mine be untrue to things divine
While head spins and heart broken
Legs paralysed and senses dead
And your countenance I long to see timid
Though I would not say since you are sleeping
And how angelic you are now looking
Dew-wet lips, glowing cheeks and turned-up nose
Upon which sun seems lulled to for a while repose
And its voices soothing and though as usual inaudible
Yet I could hear them loud in silence still
Oh, when you think me so that I am dead
For I can't see me and things around
The sky and the sun and clouds and the rainbow and you
And many things as this path and that path and my home I knew
And now I know and feel while as I am passing
Through know that I am not dead I am sleeping

Outstanding poem, I really enjoyed the vocab and the images it created in my mind, I quote some lines: 10++++ The sky and the sun and clouds and the rainbow and you And many things as this path and that path and my home I knew
