An end with no end
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
More I desire the less it seems
Sought it in charms of beauty
And in smiles of fascinating beings
But ended up being a dupe
In the hands of artful schemes
In wealth and fame I sought it
But I found them
As fickle as light phosphorescent
Sought it in indolence and quietness
Yet finished with no delight and distress
Sought it in worldly pleasures
Yet its joys promised ephemeral
So sought I something final
Everlasting, a refuge imperishable
The mind is never at rest
It's always striving, always achieving
And always gaining
And of course always in fear of losing
Can this mind which is caught in endless becoming
Be aware of an end with no end
That we call it promised bliss transcendent and surpassing?
f the mind can work like a cascading waterfall, both beautiful and grandeur, and yet without any self-conscious, then, I believe it can reach a state of ultimate bliss. I congratulate you for this thought provoking poem.
Highly philosophical, rich in wisdom and powerful in diction! Enjoyed much!

Yes mental peace is inversely proportional to the desires. Desires increase, mental peace is decreased. Desires decrease mental peace is increased. Aphilosophic poem.............10
