An Everyday Tale Poem by Shilpa Mallya

An Everyday Tale

Rating: 4.6

The sky is so contradictory.
Everyday, It tells me a new story.
Alone on the road, Somebody has died I fear.
Lost their job today, another one sheds a tear.
Dejected, a couple's split is near.
Cool winds gush in,

A new couple's nervous grin.
Afar, a new tide has turned.
Nearby, a lost one has returned.
A Screeching cry, a baby has been born.
Decades have passed, some rambling has never gone.
Today, A million hopes are the norm,
And a trillion dreams are on queue to form.

Today, A million hopes are the norm, And a trillion dreams are on queue to form.... / The poet has presented glimpses of everyday life which is at once worrisome as well as driven by hope. Thanks.
