An ode to my husband
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
Sweetheart, I pray we shall not part
Until the dawn has turned to dusk in our lives
When I took you on as a partner for life
As your wife
I promised you that I would not cause much strife
In your belief and drive.

You have been known to have
A wit which is caustic
And can be sarcastic
But I withdraw into a case that is plastic.

Although my heart is made out of glass
I pretend it is tough as brass
And I do have class
And I am, I hope, not crass
And have begun to like Strauss
I do love you, please.

I managed to win the Grand Slam
With my pram
And did cram
A career, for a while, into my tram
Which came from a little clam (as in clammed up, long suffering)and some cram.

You are my paramour
Who adds to me, glamour
You are my amore
Who has been my castafiore.

First stanza (repeat)
