And Literally Absent Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

And Literally Absent

Rating: 3.9

Speak nothing which is unpleasant
Devoid of all courtesy and literally absent
It is absolutely essential to remain away
This is necessacity of the day

See nothing which is unadvisable to see
Let people do anything as they are free
We can’t force or tell them to be self disciplined
The public life is big task and can’t that easily cleaned

Shut the ears to hear demeaning words
Can we take pride with such a scene to look forward?
To fall assassin’s bullet can only be the reward
Why not search the soul and feel from inward?

It is nicely said and not done
We still feel the battle is won
The freedom is gained and foreign yoke gone
We still live in groups and country is divided in zones

Do you think it will be unwise to follow the principles?
Why to go for uneasiness when there run the ripples?
Why so much hesitancy to adopt a reasonable path?
Why daily to witness orgy of violence with blood bath?

We may not love to live longer
Our instinct is still not that stronger
This theory holds no good any longer
We act irresponsible and rumor mongers

We have seen the great leaders to pay he price
There is echo from deafening ears for their advice
The followers have appreciated and acclaimed it as nice
The result has proved contrary and today we are paying g the price

It is better said than done
The golden phrases have emerged and gone
It can be adored in nicely bound book
We are certainly proving to be crooks
