Anderson Dccxxviii Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

As the sea sweeps me into its depth
I repent all my sins against you
Though I am blessed with yr touch
The solitude I feel when you leave my bed
Cannot see why you have to seek others
Like my words, my love has meaning
They are honest in their simplest form
As we lay down for the night
Don't question my motives when I weep
I, sincerely, love with the passion of my body
I beg you not to turn away
For I shall let the sea take me far
And all you will hear is nothing
But my tears falling

Heartbreaking and soul revealing, its hard to bare yourself to someone and watch them walk away. the depths of sadness and loss are an invisible ocean within themselves. I feel connected to this poem, even if I have never given myself to love, it is still a painful experience. Thank you for sharing LeeAnn
