today morning I became a kindergarten teacher,
a little boy welcomed me at the door, and gave me a big hug,
he was the greeter!
my heart just melted!
LEGO, and play dough, blocks, and water,
they were playing at centres,
I became a kid with them,
and started drawing hilarious pictures!
two little girls drew their moms
in lovely colourful ravishing dresses,
another one wished to draw gorgeous flowers,
holding pencil was a challenge!
many of them were budding artists -
crayons, and pencils, paints and brushes
brought Nature to life!
their creativity was endless!
some were writers,
dealing with horrifying dragons, bone-chilling monsters and petrifying dinos,
and definitely elegant princesses,
for them, imagination never stops!
a lot of boys (wish there were some girls!) , dealt with building and fixing cars, and towers, planes and airports,
future builders and engineers,
I gazed at them with awe,
and visualized our promising future!
play-doughs were getting into shapes -
rolled, and sliced, chopped and moulded
into balls, and pizzas,
and stars, and SNAKES.
leave them as they are,
our precious little angels in disguise,
Innocence is what we see, and
a world full of dreams in those luminous eyes!
Our little angels were engrossed, keep them occupied, to keep them out of trouble, So innocent, so pure, So many dreams in their eyes. We mould them, we inspire them - that's what they need from us, Exercising our insightful wisdom, we create their lives.........touching and impressive expression with a great goal. A beautiful poem on childhood where we have to fulfill their dreams. Thanks for sharing.10
Being an educator, I love spending time with children! It's the greatest joy to experience!
