Another Birthday #413 Poem by Thomas Plotz

Another Birthday #413

Another Birthday has come and gone,
Another lover, sits and waits,
Anticipates my slow return, from the ghost robbers estate,

She doesn't sit alone,
For some of my other wives are here,
The ones I gave my rings to,
The ones whom my heart rang true,

Except for the blue man, whose love's unbroken,
Except for the other men, whose love will do,

I been fortunate to have loved many,
I have been fortunate, to have loved you,

Oh, I been fortunate to have loved so many,
Oh, I have been fortunate, to have loved you.
