Another Day Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Another Day

Rating: 4.5

When you awake, you ponder as you lay.
What will you do with another day?
Will you sit around and say it is boring?
Is there a reason for your spirit to be soaring?

It is a choice that must be consciously made.
When you decide, the groundwork must be laid.
Wheels will turn slowly or maybe they’ll go fast.
Whatever the outcome, the results will forever last.

It is a planned decision that is plain and clear.
The look on your face is reflected in the mirror.
If you are happy and contented, you won’t look sad.
If you’re lacking inspiration, you’ll start feeling bad.

Ask a dying man what he’d do with another day.
He would be delighted to stand up and gladly say.
I would tell my loved ones how much they mean to me.
I would thank God for the sun above and blue sky I see.

Be aware that you have the greatest gift of all.
So don’t think thoughts that ravage and appall.
Use the time you have to gather all the benefits.
Think wiser, and make choices without regrets.
