Another Failed Mission Poem by DM W

Another Failed Mission

This circuitry's dead:
Silent screams of astronaut
Angst and dread. Slow eyes
Drift like stars as dreams explode.
Streams of silvery-
Grey, nebulous consciousness.
Rose pink dawns transform
Instantly into blood red
Sunsets. Memories
Permeate the small craft which
Wanders aimlessly
Like a jaded nomad through
Space and time, There are
No mythical, guardian
Angels here; none will
Appear from the blue heavens.
Bleak infinities
Of frozen steel solitude:
No - one, nothing can
Guide another failed mission.
