Antipathy (By St. Thiruvalluvar In Tamil) Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Antipathy (By St. Thiruvalluvar In Tamil)

851.Antipathy in all living beings is the disease
which grows the sense of division with ease.
852.Though you do bitter things out of a sense of split
it is best not to do evil minding of the peril of enmity.
853.If you shun the annoying disease of hatred from your mind
it will bring faultless, undying fame.
854.If animosity, the woe of all the woes ceases
it will give you the pleasure of all the pleasures.
855.Who can hope to overcome the person
who turns around from ill will and keeps his spirits up?
856.If he who finds the excess spirit of hatred sweet in life
crime and destruction to him are drawing nigh.
857.The hostile, troublesome wise
do not know the ethical standards.
858.It is gain to turn around from the sense of enmity.
It is ruin to get along with it.
859.When he gets riches, he thinks not of defiance.
He thinks of being defiant for the ruin to visit him.
860.The cause of all ills is hostility. But friendliness
favours all the virtues of prosperity.
