You gave us memories of the Old Country
Time of innocence and camaraderie
When families broke bread together
Shared experiences of their days
You cooked such delicious meals
Serving fresh cucumber salad
A wiener schnitzel to die for
Hungarian pork paprikash
Mouth-watering cherry strudel
You gave us fun times with good friends
Celebrating the joy in life
You worked so hard for great success
Deserve so much more than poem
Long and healthy retirement!

Brilliant, Richard! You tossed me back in tome to a location when and where such excellent, usually family run, places were common. Over the years, I've watched more than a few fade away. They can live on now in memories and in words....You're keeping traditions alive, my friend.
2) My friend, you and I have been keeping alive the tradition of reading and commenting on each other's poems. This is a tradition that means a lot to me! Sincerest THX for keeping it alive!
My friend, I really miss those places and those very special times. They will always live in memories and poems. I'm keeping the traditions alive by finding very few similar restaurants to share with friends.
