Arrogance Poem by Josey Alfred

Arrogance

Rating: 5.0

If you think arrogance is virtue?
And be a bright star by it use
And want to control world by it,
To enjoy wanton dreams in life

You pay heed all wanton crimes,
Arrogance brought into this world,
Sodom stead- fast in arrogance!
Till burnt to cinder and ash for ever.

From thence there stands, a statue!
Of sulfur and salt, to remind all,
To forgo arrogance, or perish,
In misery and sorrow in own life.

In life you would be hated by all,
Though few will pretend to be friend
But within their heart they hate you
For arrogance repels loving hearts.
