'' As Did Those, Who Gave Me The Chance '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' As Did Those, Who Gave Me The Chance ''

My secret yearning?
To never stop learning,
My mind's saying, don't ever stop,
Being quite discerning,
I want to start earning,
This desire I just wouldn't swap.

I always loved school,
It's a powerful tool,
To take in, what your life requires,
It's a form of fuel,
A wonderful jewel,
It allows you, to fulfil your desires.

I have this need,
My craving to feed,
They're saying, I'm as mad as a hatter,
It's not based on greed,
I want to succeed,
The subjects I choose, do not matter.

Art or ecology,
Algebra, geology,
I enjoy doing history and maths,
Geometry and pyschology,
I make no apology,
They'll take me down different paths.

Into knowledge I plunge,
My brain's like a sponge,
Information, I just love to dissect,
Some say its gunge,
But you cannot expunge,
That power, with which I connect.

To make your life flow,
To learn, don't forego,
By studying your life you'll enhance,
With what I now know,
Others I'll show,
