As I Draw My Last Breath Poem by Amy Kerswell

As I Draw My Last Breath

As I take my last breath of life
Now the pills are swallowed down.
And my arms slashed to bits.

As I draw my last breath will you hate me?
Will you think of my differently?
I wonder what will you make of it all?
What will you think of my suicide.

Will you think of my
In a different way to what you used to?
I wonder what on earth you will think of me now

They won't think of you anydifferently. They will be sad, and wonder why you did it tho. They will be heartbroken that you couldn't sit down with them and confide in them your fears and anxieties. This is a very sad poem, from an abused and sad heart. I pray for you Amy, and I have always told you that you can talk to me about anything, anything at all. I am sad Amy because you are hurting so much inside. I have something I want to post here, called The 12 Steps To Self-Esteem. I think maybe we all need a big does of self-esteem every once in a while to perk us up and remind us of the things we forgot. Amy why don't you try writing a poem about what you see when you walk through the park, or at the zoo, or just around your neighborhood that is beautiful. You have a beautiful soul girlfriend, and you should write about beautiful things. I know it is hard, because my pain is still with me, and I write about it, but I also write about what I see as beautiful too. Chin up girlfriend, tehre ARE better days ahead. How old are you Amy,19? You have your whole life to live yet, and no the hurt never goes away but there are things we can do to make it heal. Stay strong girlfriend. Barbara
