As Time Moves By Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

As Time Moves By

Time creeps upon us like the drop of a hat,
One moment we are young and agile,
The next we feel old and fat!
We long for our old friends,
Our teeth are missed each day,
For attempts to eat an apple,
Have surely gone astray.
Legs have a mind of their own,
I want to feel just like i did,
Now life is one big moan!
Time change's everything,
But never the heart within,
We all have to face it one day,
It's part of what life brings.
