Au Fond Du Reel.(Translation) . Poem by Michael Walker

fleur neanmoins,
a la forme de la grande
Rose jaune dans ton cerveau!
Voici la fleur du Monde.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was the first poem by Allen Ginsberg that I ever read, teaching a high school class in the 1980's. The class liked it and so did I. They liked vivid imagery ' like Jesus' inchlong crown' and 'like a used shaving brush'. The poem builds to a climax. I have typed it exactly as it is in my book 'Howl' and Other Poems'. Ginsberg uses small letters in the title, except for the first word.
