Aurora Poem by Stefanie Fontker

Aurora

Rating: 3.5

I could not meet you
Too far away, we stretch
Longing for one another
But science would not
Let us fall in love
Earth refused to allow
More than one touch
To become one would be
To defy more than nature
And so we will sit, here
Waiting for those watching
To look away and forget us
So a forbidden romance
May grace our spirits
Hidden by our indifference
Seemingly so, but there
Is more than anyone will
Ever know in these hearts
That we so often have to
Ignore and neglect because
Of society and its players
In a game not made for us
We are actors in a world
Too fake to be named reality
Together, we look away
But yearn to turn around
And stare deeply into the sun

yes! it's like one of shakespears poems.... that we're all actors. yes, i know i love a man who i cannot..... (i wrote a poem about it) because of a lot of things.... not that i know if he loves me back.... but i love him all the same.

We are actors in a world to fake to be called a reality. This is ceteris paribus of the motto of the poem.-themes are written and said well.Reminder of Aurora Borealis and Australis.Science and science fiction combined.Well drafted once again.

It's like aurora (your write) about two separating distance...like north pole and south pole, so far away but yet the attraction of poles always reveal a lovely night colors, Aurora! ! ! ... Northern light may walk away sooner but the will comes again later...this write is so connected with distance and beauty of words! _Unwritten Soul
