The sun is down and the moon rises high
The clouds skim across the darkened sky
I look over the plain to the St Vincent Gulf water
The moon sinks to the sea in reflective order
The moon light puddles in a reflection made
On the Gulf waters as the moon slides in a waning fade
The lights of the city twinkle on the plain below
As the Southern Cross shines in an Australian show.
