Autobiographie Litteraire. - Poem by Michael Walker

Quand j'etais enfant
Je jouais isole dans un
coin de la cour de recreation de l'ecole
tout seul.

Je haissais les poupees et je
haissais les jeux, les animaux n'etaient
pas amicaux et les oiseaux
s'envolerent.

Si quelq'un me cherchait
je me cachais derriere un
arbre et j'ai crie 'Je suis
orphelin'.

Et me voici, le
centre de toute la beaute!
en ecrivant tous ces poemes!
Imagine-toi!

'Autobiographie Litteraire'. Frank O'Hara. 1967.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Frank O'Hara still had much to offer, before his untimely death in an accident. My childhood was like this poem, in some ways.
