Your last three lines are wonderful! They constitute one of my favorite images EVER of the colors of autumn. It's not the description of leaves as clothes which is new. It's more complex than that. It's the image of nature as a tailor changing the color of the dress to vivid yellow and red to replace the common-place green - the time of his work equals the time of nature's changes, his artistry is nature's artistry, his mysterious mastery is the mystery of autumn. This is a wonderful evocation of what is MY favorite season, and you give this description without spoiling the beauty with even the slightest hint of winter.
