Autumn Comes Poem by Barry Middleton

Autumn Comes

Rating: 5.0

the summer heat has gone
rebuked by autumn's dawn

and copper colored leaves
are forming on the trees

a fat squirrel grows ready
the northern wind is steady

the wood smoke in the air
is answering my prayer

the snake must hibernate
the stars shall congregate

one season finally ends
and another one begins

a beautiful narration close to a lyric in its effect and soothing sound...with its overloaded natural images...... a spontaneous and fitting rhymes...... Poemhunter if just to enlist KEATS' Ode to Autumn to the related poems.

Thanks Nosheen. I love all the seasons except winter. Autumn is a pensive time.
