Autumn Is Raining Color Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Autumn Is Raining Color

Rating: 5.0

A huge tree of varicolored leaves is raining beauty,
In the days of thrills, just past a sunshine spree,
On the steady march of glory, lasting all the year,
Until the lovely snows of winter takes up its rear!
Colorful leaves fly all day and throughout the dark,
And swirl gaily and engulf me with beauty's remark.
I listen as a birdsong is floating from the treetop,
He totally unaware someone has stopped to eavesdrop.
I am certain all the world would love my pretty tree,
That rains all the luscious colors of autumn over me!

Every line bursting with color and vibration. Loved every word of these falling beautiful leaves. Although I must admit I am looking forward to a long and warm spring and a hot but pleasant summer before any foreboding that winter will soon be upon us.

This is beautiful. A huge tree of varicolored leaves is raining beauty, In the days of thrills, just past a sunshine spree, ...these opening lines are beautiful.
