Awakening Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Awakening

Rating: 5.0

In the last few hours
While I was sleeping
The earth must have turned
By several degrees
And moved round the sun
By several thousand miles

The sun must have risen
And must have set too
On another country
In another continent
Where the moon must be smiling
And stars twinkling

Babies must have arrived
And people must have died
Storms must have visited
And rivers flooded

With so many things changed
Taking so many new turns
Am I the same now
As I was last night?

Life changes so quickly. One day young, the next remembering the days of youth. We all change like a butterfly in this life. One day we'll fly. Thanks dear poetess.
