Away Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Away

Some songs are for the happy
To brighten up the day
So I put this one together
To find a happy way
A, way- A way; To brighten up the day
So let's sing this song together
And start a happy day

In a village square not far from here
A kitty came to play
The people saw quite a sight
As the kitty danced away
Away- Away; The kitty danced away
Then he got on his bike and he rode out of sight
The kitty went away

Where did the kitty go
I don't know- I don't know
Where did the kitty go
I don't really know

While riding on a road of gravel
He met a sad old man
Stopping for a moment
He sang a song for him
Away- Away; The kitty sang, Away
They both sang the song together
Then the kitty continued on his way

Now, as he traveled by a streamlet
The fish were jumping free
For fun he rode his bike into the water
And went with them downstream
Away- Away; In the water far away
Back home to the village
Where he started out his day

So just like with every story
This one has an end
For now that we are happy
Let's sing it once again
Away-Away; Singing on our way
Singing for the happy
To have a happy day
