Baba And The Forty Thieves Poem by Adams King

Baba And The Forty Thieves

To all that I have heard about man's folly
There is none as ridiculous and absurd
Than killings of men sought to be holy
And men fight to defend their own God

I was taught about a God above the sky
I was told to deeply believe in the unseen
To love the unknown with all of my might
To love the invincible than men I could see

I was told by the world's righteous folks
Man's mystery ride was from dust to dust
I was told to keep laws and save my soul
Or have them broken and face hell's wrath

I was taught what to think and not how
Every curious thought I never mention
I was told above the thick cloud of ours
Lies a creator no man could question

I was shown a book of unimaginable tales
I was told forty men wrote the holy script
Or could this be another book fairytales
Like that of Alibaba and the forty thieves
