Babushka Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Babushka

[Origin of BABUSHKA

Russian, grandmother, diminutive of baba old woman
First Known Use: 1938]

Is it a dream
or real?
Last night
an old butterfly resembles my poor mom
whispered
resting on my shoulder;
'I rub my wings
and this powder
gives you the strength
to fly wherever you insist to go? '
And she disappeared at once.
O in the morning I found some powder
on my limbs, I tried to lift my useless heavy body
but it's very hard and I see
boundaries and barriers ahead?

to Doctor Priyantha Bogamuwa who left for Moscow today, early in the morning!
