We Earthlings have evolved enough
To venture into outer space,
With the technological stuff
To announce we're the human race.
We've always wondered what's out there,
And as we got 'smarter' in mind
We pinched the universe to share
Its secrets with us humankind.
It's uncertain whether or not
We will get our money's worth.
Our nosiness may have wrought
Who knows what upon planet Earth.

Reaching into the universe,
Be it a blessing or a curse!
