Banana Boat (Sweet Escape) Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Banana Boat (Sweet Escape)

The waves steadily come.
Naturally around the bend of an sweet escape.
Gently rocking,
Smooth in nature.
Hold me tight as we gently sway to the current.
Laugh with me as I tell you a silly but true story,
About a boy who loves this girl.
Would you blush in suspense, if at the end I told you
this story was about us.
On this very day.
My reaction would be to kiss you tenderly as I could,
Circling the bend as the waves that steadily come.
Crashing against the bottom of the boat.
Would you, If I asked you.
Come with me and be baptized by the beat of my heart
Held close to you.
Would you share with me the secrets that caress your heart
As you are all I need to fulfill my lips.
The steady rhythm that flows in my heart
Through the creek of your name.
The very presence that desires you ever so much.
As the banana's need the root of the tree to grow.
Ripen to the softest lips that have caressed mine.
Suspended above me now as I lay upon your lap.
Gently rocking down the rapid stream.
With my hand in yours
