Bare In The Air Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Bare In The Air

It's too late to cover up what is naked.
Clearly seen to have it erased.
It's too late to fake a shock.
Or pretend what appears,
Is not what it is.
To quickly stop.
And block out what has started.
To vanished before it damages minds.
However...
It is there.

Bare in the air is corruption.
Bare in the air is crime.
Bare in the air is a decadence.
Marketed to have values decline.

Too late to fake a shock.
It's too late to fake a shock.
Too late to fake a shock.
It's too late to fake a shock.

Bare everywhere is injustice.
Bare everywhere is distrust.
Gone is honesty to believe.
Along with truth kept in God as a must.

It's too late to cover up what's naked.
To pretend it no longer there.
It's too late to turn away unaffected.
Or disbelieve what is seen,
Will disappear to awaken from a nightmare.

Bare in the air is corruption.
Bare in the air is crime.
Bare in the air is hatred and division.
Everywhere to see it.
And purposely created.
With an ease of it readily found to find.

It's too late to fake a shock.
Dismissed to have it blocked.
Stopped.
Or wish it not to exist.
It's too late to fake a shock.
When bare in the air it is.
Everywhere to have appeared.
Whether to reject or pretend...
What is isn't.
Naked, bare...
And in the air.
Regardless who breathes choosing disbelief.
Attempting to leave unseen the nakedness of it!
What is bare has been there and in the air.
Exposed.
The nakedness of it all!
