Beautiful
He makes me smile,
...for a while.
He makes me cheerful
...instead of fearful.
But I am no goddess,
And I am not modest.
I take his affection,
but give no detection,
of my intention to leave,
And I let him believe.
That I will be there,
That I will care,
That I am the only one,
But I was just having my fun.
'She is so bitter! '
But I'm not a quitter.
I never gave up my fight.
I loved him into the night.
I loved him all the day long,
I let love sing it's song,
But when it was time for the end,
I did not pretend.
And I left him with a smile,
That he kept for a while.
The woman who says herself that she is not modest, makes use of her God given smile to trap him and make him mad of her and and leave him with a smile, her powerful weapon to tumble down the men. Such women are many nowadays. The poet depicts the reality in the society.
i love the rhyme and the flow, it feels to melt into one and the poem so good, smooth, sweet and beautiful good work indeed
