Beauty Kept To Keep Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Beauty Kept To Keep

The only thing evil owns,
To do it sold.
Whenever they wish to sell it.
And to whomever buys.
Is fear and threats.
Prolonged regrets.
And frequently prayed hopes,
For a better tomorrow.
Each day of every week.

On the other hand...
Beauty to admire.
And a confessing,
Of more of this to get.
Is thought to be weak.
A docile and passive,
Approach to life.
By those who have adopted,
To adapt to a loving of wars.
And investing in conflicts.
Leaving destruction.
For themselves to prove,
This is the price to pay...
To be declared heroes.

Heroes!
The sellers of threats and fear.
Creators of division.
Promoters of conflict.
Racism and destruction.
Death seekers.
Claiming to be of peace.
Corruption leechers.
Destroyers of life.
And the quality of it.
For all to see it proven...
Their interpretation of beauty,
Is to destroy it.
Wherever it is found.
From the ground up.
To tear it down!
