Be-Bop Dreams Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Be-Bop Dreams

Rating: 5.0

Smooth me out
With yr Jazz, Brubeck
As yr fingers gently play yr piano
Take me back to Birdland
And Minton's
Where we can Take Five
And Diz fingers his ax
As Yardbird shoot up smack
With Lady Day and Kerouac
Singing the Blues
I'll watch, if only, in my dreams
As the night slowly turns into day
