Before Understanding - Poem by Manny Negron

I hear You whisper in my ear
“Come with Me and do not fear…I have plans for you”
I go with You and I obey
I never do know what to say…except, “I trust You”

Sometimes You do things that I don’t understand,
But I will trust in You, O Lord
While sometimes you do things that I can’t comprehend,
Still, I have faith in You, O Lord

I hear you whisper in my ear
“Won’t you let me take you there? …into My will”
I give it up, begin to pray
You always do know what to say…“peace be still”
